Uni of Canberra Recruiting Participants: 8‑Session Dementia Rehabilitation Trial
Each participant receives a personalised rehabilitation plan developed by an occupational therapist, with support from a physiotherapist where mobility or exercise goals are identified. The program is then delivered in the person’s home over 6 or 12 weeks by a trained allied health assistant, focusing on reablement and maintaining wellbeing and independence.
The SPICE at Home trial has been approved by the ACT Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and will help inform future dementia‑care models across the ACT and beyond.
